The Hikvision DS-2CD2345G0P-I ceiling IP camera from EasyIP 3.0 series is dedicated for use in monitoring systems based on IP DVRs. It is equipped with a 4 MP and 1/2.7" CMOS sensor and an IR illuminator based on EXIR technology with a range up to 10 m to ensure proper visibility in low-light conditions. It has a fixed 1.68 mm lens with a viewing angle of 180° (fisheye). Support for the legacy and latest H.265(+) compression methods allows for the archiving time of recordings to be extended while maintaining excellent image quality and backward compatibility. Additional functions to help improve image quality including: AGC, 3D-DNR, WDR (120 dB), BLC, HLC and built-in image analytic functions (VCA) make the camera suitable for use in even more advanced projects. The camera can be powered conventionally with 12 VDC or through PoE (compliant with the 802.802.3af standard).

The above model belongs to the new EasyIP 3.0 series of cameras, offering very good image quality and low price. With the use of Dark Fighter (Ultra-low-light) technology, previously available in the design series, the camera provides better color reproduction and image quality in low-light conditions. Integrated VCA image analytics such as face detection, intrusion detection, line crossing detection, unattended baggage detection, object removal detection allow the camera to be used for advanced projects.

The camera is equipped with an IR illuminator made in Exir 2.0 technology, with high light efficiency. At a comparable current, the Exir 2.0 arrays are 30% more efficient than conventional IR diodes. The light stream generated has a shape matching the rectangular field of view of the camera. Ordinary diodes generate a circular light stream, where the center is strongly illuminated and the corners are underexposed. Exir 2.0 has a more uniform light pattern providing good illumination of the corners. Compared to the previous generation, Exir 2.0 has better heat dissipation and an increased lifetime of up to 20,000 hours.

Compression is a very important parameter proving the device advancement. The better the compression, the lower the bandwidth requirement with the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and the demand for disk capacity by half. Therefore, hard drives with a halved capacity can be used, or recordings can be stored for twice as long. Its improved version H.265+ has been optimized for use in CCTV monitoring systems. They allow for further reduction of data streams.

iVMS-4200 is client software dedicated to the management and supervision of Hikvision security systems, such as DVRs (IP, TurboHD), video intercoms, access control, set-top boxes, etc. The software allows you to easily and conveniently monitor all systems by offering viewing from IP cameras, remote playback of recordings, remote configuration, handling of alarm events, two-way audio transmission, e-map support, recording to a HDD and many more.

Hikvision devices can be operated via mobile phones with Android or iOS using the dedicated Hik-Connect mobile application. It can be used for remote live viewing from DVRs, NVRs, IP cameras, video intercoms over the WiFi, 2G or 3G and to view saved recordings. Operating video intercoms with the application provides also remote opening of the electric strike, receiving notifications and transferring calls from the entrance panel to the phone in the absence of the subscriber. The application supports connectivity over IP and a P2P cloud. Hik-Connect is also the name of the cloud service that provides access to devices in the absence of an external IP address.

The main window of the SADP software

SADP (Search Active Device Protocol) is a free, easy-to-use utility designed to search for Hikvision IP cameras and DVRs/NVRs in the local network. The network device search tool can also be used to modify device network parameters, e.g. to change or recover default passwords.
